Worcestershire Cricket Club have today paid tribute today to Josh Baker who sadly died, aged 20, last week.
Ahead of their County Championship match against Kent on Friday, their first game since Baker passed away, both sides held a minute's silence followed by a minute's applause in memory of the talented spin bowler.
Worcestershire's players also wore black arm bands, with Baker's shirt number, 33, also being printed on their match shirts, just below the club crest.
The club revealed that the number 33 will stay on their player's shirts throughout the season.
The Pears wrote on X (formerly Twitter): 'In loving memory of Josh Baker, No 33 will be a symbol of courage and inspiration on our shirts for the rest of the season.
'Each game will carry forward his legacy, touching hearts and exemplifying the spirit of cricket and Worcestershire County Cricket Club both on and off the field.'
Tributes have also been paid at the other five County Championship games taking place today, with Surrey and Nottinghamshire both sending their condolences to Baker's family and friends.
