World No 1 Nelly Korda withdraws from tournament after freak injury... one week after she was caught crying during LPGA Championship

The world's No 1 women's golfer, Nelly Korda, has withdrawn from next week's Aramco Team Series event after revealing a freak injury.

Korda said Friday morning she was bitten by a dog last weekend while competing at the Women's PGA Championship in Washington.

Korda missed the cut at the tournament, her second straight at a major event and third missed cut overall.
