Yankees player Marcus Stroman reacted to the heartbreaking death of Sonya Massey at the hands of an Illinois police officer.

The MLB star deemed the shooting 'unjustifiable' after the unarmed Black woman was killed inside her home in Springfield earlier this month.

'Y'all gonna be silent on this topic…but loud and hateful when your team loses a game,' Stroman wrote on X.

The New York pitcher spent the 2022 and 2023 seasons in Chicago with the Cubs.

Yankees star Marcus Stroman reacted to the death of Sonya Massey at the hands of a cop

'The trauma that the black community continually deals with is frustrating,' he wrote

'Sad society we're living in. Prayers and blessings to the family of Sonya Massey,' he added.

'The trauma that the black community continually deals with is frustrating and beyond repair!'

Stroman also took to Instagram to further denounce sheriff's deputy Sean Grayson, who killed the mother-of-two.

'Just another day in America, It's beyond tiring seeing innocent black human beings murdered in cold blood. Being black in America is incredibly scary. Racism is thriving but y'all will pretend to not notice,' he wrote.

Wake up and understand how f***ed this is…regardless of the color of your skin. It's unfair and unjustifiable. Disgusting to see some in society try and justify these actions,' he went on.

'You're trash if you believe this is ok. Shout to the family of Sonya Massey. I couldn't imagine what they're going through. Prayers and blessings to her family and the entire black community. We'll rise and overcome as always.'

Massey's 17-year-old son described the trauma he experienced in the wake of the shooting

'She was very smart and always helped everybody but herself. Just a ball of love,' he said

Malachi also told reporters he could not bring himself to watch the bodycam footage

The two-time MLB All-Star concluded the emotional message with a black heart emoji.

Earlier this month, Massey was shot dead in her kitchen after she called law enforcement to investigate a prowler in the area outside of her home.

Her family are now seeking to draw attention to the shooting after bodycam footage showed the shocking circumstances that led to her her death, along with leaked audio that features an officer telling a dispatcher Massey's wounds were 'self-inflicted.'

In an interview with CBS News, Malachi Hill-Massey, 17, spoke lovingly about his mother.

'She was very smart and always helped everybody but herself. Just a ball of love, honestly, to me. She cooked me the best food. I love her food, honestly,' he said.

'She's just the most loving person ever. I don't know. That's the person that made me just feel so loved.'

At a press conference held by the family on Tuesday, Malachi told reporters that he could not bring himself to watch the horrific bodycam video.

'I don't have no words for this,' he told the crowd.

Meanwhile, Massey's mother, Donna, reiterated the need for an investigation into the cover-up, emphasizing that the official story has changed.

'They said it's under investigation, then they said that they told the doctors at the hospital that she committed suicide—and then they changed it,' she said.

'They kept changing the story.'
