Western Australian emergency services have launched a major rescue operation to save the life of an injured surfer in the state's south-west.
A young woman in her 20s is believed to have suffered spinal injuries while surfing near Lefthanders break in Yebble, near Margaret River on Friday morning.
The RAC Rescue Helicopter has been scrambled to the scene to assist State Emergecy Services and Paramedics at the scene.
