A young Aussie has revealed he is often getting mistaken for his mother's boyfriend because of her youthful looks.
In a video posted to social media, single mum Adile, aged 36, asked her 19-year-old son Rizal about his experience of having a younger mum.
'As a young mum, it's common to be mistaken as his sister, and now he's getting older, his girlfriend', she explained.
'I mean, it's flattering though', the 36-year-old added.
She asked her son: 'Do you think that people still get surprised that I'm your mum?'
'Yeah, everyone I meet they'll like ask me: 'Who's that girl in your Instagram story?' And I'm like that's my mum, bro, and they're like 'what the hell?'' her son says.

Adile's son said people often think his mother is his girlfriend or sister because of her youthful looks
Her son said that it felt 'really weird' when people mistakenly thought his mother was his girlfriend. He found it more 'believable' that she could be mistaken for his sister because he looks more mature than before.
'You haven't changed in like six years,' he says of his mother.
Adile, who considers her son her best friend, highlighted that he often gets asked for ID, to which he responded, 'So do you.'
She asked her son about the experience of growing up without a father and whether he had any advice or insights to share with other single mothers or children raised by single mothers.
'You don't need a dad to have the masculine role models,' Rizal said.
'Surround yourself with good role models. It could be your coach or teacher, someone involved in your life.'
Adile fell pregnant at 16 and had her son when she was 17.
'I thought having a son at 17 would completely ruin my life,' Adile explained.
'But now, 19-years-later, we're like best friends and one of the pros of having a kid young is that you actually get to grow up together and the connection that you have is more like a brother and sister or best friends'.

Adile said telling her mother she was pregnant as a teenager was 'one of the worst days of my entire life'.
'I remember sitting across from her in my school uniform and I didn't even have to tell her. She looked at me and I looked at her and she was like 'you're pregnant aren't you?'
'It was awful; she got up and ran to the bathroom and threw up'.
When asked about the positives of having a young mum, Adile's son said he had 'a deeper' connection with her than some of his friends had with their parents.
'I can do fun things with my mum and I can tell her about things that other parents might not remember... they're not on the same wavelegnth'.
Her son also shared some of the negatives of having a younger mum.
'You can't sneak out or do anything sneaky because she knows all the tricks still, because she came up in technically this generation'.

Many Aussies resonated with her story and said that they had similar age gaps between themselves and their children or parents.
'This is like me and my mum she is 37 and I'm 19,' one said.
Others were surprised to learn that the pair were mother and son.
'Wow, I thought you guys were dating or bro and sis. Such a beautiful mum,' another added.
'Where'd you find the fountain of youth?' a third said.
A fourth added: 'I think the kid also got that gene. He looks younger than his real age too. All the best'.
