A millionaire investor who retired at the age of 40 swapped his $1.5million mansion for a night behind bars after he allegedly swore at police during a roadside stop.
Peter Stanley Southgate, 42, appeared in Brisbane Arrest Court on Saturday after being kept in custody overnight after he allegedly used offensive language when he was pulled over in the early hours of the morning.
The former law practice manager faced a charge of committing public nuisance and three charges of breaching his bail on other charges.
Mr Southgate's lawyer Emma Higgins said they would contest that her client had used 'offensive language' toward police and intended to apply for evidence from the officers' body worn cameras.

Ms Higgins said the three charges of breaching bail conditions related to allegations he failed to report on bail, the Courier Mail reports.
She said Mr Southgate had acquired a medical certificate for March 25 to March 27 during a doctors appointment on March 28.
Mr Southgate is on Supreme Court bail, which requires him to submit to urine analysis testing for the presence of drugs.
Last week Mr Southgate entered a guilty plea to breaching his bail by returning a positive swab sample due to drug use, Ms Higgins said.
Acting Magistrate Bain suggested that 'perhaps alcohol is a problem'.

Ms Higgins said her client, who she said had been able to retire early after making good investments, likely had an addiction to drugs.
'It does not feature your honour, rather the suggestion from his history is drugs,' she told the judge.
Police prosecutor Sergeant Matt Kahler told the court that Southgate's alleged 'drug of choice' was ice.
Acting Magistrate Bain granted Mr Southgate bail on condition that he live at his $1.5million Gordon Park home in Brisbane's north.
Mr Southgate must also report on bail to Stafford police station four days a week and adhere to a curfew between 8pm and 6pm.
He is to get a doctor's referral to attend drug counselling and is scheduled to return to Brisbane Magistrates Court on April 24.
