A fugitive who was on the run for two months in Florida has been found by cops contorted inside a washer and dryer unit.

David Jerome Jackson, 31, was wanted on charges from an incident on March 14 where he allegedly shot a gun inside a home in Pensacola, Florida.

The charges include firing a gun into a dwelling, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, damage to property and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

The Escambia County Sheriff's Office received a tip off Friday that Jackson was hiding inside a house.

Once deputies executed a search warrant, officers entered the home to find the fugitive.

A fugitive who was on the run for two months in Florida was found by cops contorted inside a washer and dryer unit.

After checking every floor closet, and crevice, the one place they didn't check, and didn't think they needed to check, was inside the machines in the house's laundry room.

Low and behold, police pried Jackson's folded body from inside the 'remarkably small dryer drum,' per a Facebook post by the police department, who took this incident as an opportunity to have some fun.

Deputies said that the look on Jackson's face was 'a combination of guilt, embarrassment, and warm hosiery.'

'He was pulled from the dryer one limb at a time, as he clung to his tumble-ready hideout,' the sheriff's office said.

'Outside the dryer, deputies removed three dryer sheets, two mismatched socks, and a crumpled-up tissue from his surprisingly wrinkled Star Wars shirt.'

Jackson has been taken into custody.

'And as always, all suspects are presumed innocent and free of static cling,' the statement concluded.
