Firefighters responded Monday evening to an apparent blaze at the Tesla Fremont factory.
Local outlets reported that a Fremont Fire department spokesperson said a call about the fire came in at just after 5pm.
Officials added that the fire is currently at two alarms.
Visuals taken from above the scene in California show the fire department working on the fire.
One locally shot picture showed smoke rising from the factory.
Some reports online indicate that the fire took place outside and was mainly fueled by packing materials, in this case cardboard pallets.
No injuries have so far been reported.
